Despite the type of religion that is practiced I've notice it to be very important to the Mexican culture.

I love these pots as a kid; I bought a few when we took a day trip to Tiajuana and saw them on every corner. I think the colors that were used and the style of the flowers are almost like a trademark for these kind of pots.

Markets are just more then a source of income they are also a social gathering.

Fiestas are giant parties that have mariachis bands with sometimes dancers.

The ancient ruins of the Mayan Kukulkan pyrimd gives a lasting instilled sense of the past, history thats unique.

Mexico is a developing country that someday will have plenty of potential for success.
My parents have both been to Mexico and have said that the beaches are gorgeous and the ocean is vibrant shade of blue.

lauren...aside from Tijuana...have you never been to Mexico? Your entry with teh beach image gave me that impression...just curious...
I love that intersection picture. We don't have anything like that here in California (i don't think).
I agree with the comment about the markets. The culture tends to carry through to Mexicans in the U.S. When I was a kid, my family, and aunts and cousins would make it a whole trip to go to the Flee Market. We'd spend the whole day there. Mostly browsing and purchasing produce. It was the best. I might have to go again soon with my wife and kids.
